Luis Robert went yard for the 12th time on the season, solo-shot in the ninth inning of the White Sox’s 8-3 defeat at the hands of the Mariners. For the outfielder it was the 100th homerun of his career. Robert is now hitting a robust .385 over his last seven games.
Lourdes Gurriel Jr swatted two homeruns in four trips to the plate and knocked in four runs, while also scoring twice during Arizona’s 14-5 loss at the hands of the Padres. The outfielder has now homered 14 times and hits .249 on the campaign.
After tossing a scoreless inning and two-thirds in which he allowed two hits to notch his 14th during Toronto’s 10-4 win over the Rockies, Yariel Rodríguez also saw his ERA descend to 2.45 on the season.
