J.D. Martínez scorched a double in the third inning to left field that brought in a run for the Dodgers and helped the team from the city of Angels down the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-2. The Cuban-American drove in his fifth run on the year and watched his average jump to .231 on the young season.
The slugger from Miami on the month of April is hitting a solid .278 and has also collected four of his five runs batted in during the month putting only 94 from reaching a 1,000. With 17 more roundtrippers Martínez would also eclipse 300 for his career.

“The Panther” as Luis Robert is known by the Cuban faithful hit second and played center fielder in Chicago’s 16-6 to the San Francisco Giants last night. With his one hit in four at bats, Robert extended his hitting streak to four games and saw his average fall to .323 but his on-base percentage (OBP) rise even with his BA.
The Cuban is also now slugging .581 on the season with two longballs, three RBIs and .904 OPS. After a mediocre World Baseball Classic with Cuba Robert has gotten off to a solid start to the 2023 season.
