Yosver Zulueta made his season debut for Toronto with their farm club, the Buffalo Bison (AAA) and was electric on the mound. Starting the game the right-hander threw three scoreless innings where he surrendered one hit and struck out six. Although he did not factor in the decision his team did sweep a double header against the Worcester Redsox by twin scores of 2-1.
The native of Villa Clara, Cuba’s who’s fastball was near triple digits on the day is the Canadian club’s #3 prospect and could make his major league debut later this season. Zulueta who returned last season from a knee injury had a 2-5 record, 3.72 ERA and struck out 84 in 58 innings between A-AAA.

Andy Ibáñez went yard for the third time this season to aid the Toledo Mudhens in their 8-2 victory over the Omaha Storm Chasers. Although the Cuban infielder is hitting a mediocre .258, he has driven in nine runs on the young season. The talented Ibáñez is looking to make his way to the majors once again in the Motor City.
In Advanced A Ernesto Martínez Jr went yard for the first time this season, drove in a run and scored on another occasion, but his best efforts could not prevent Wisconsin’s 5-4 loss to Beloit. The outfielder is now hitting .333 on the season for the Timber Rattlers, while heralded Marlins prospect Yiddi Cappe went hitless in for the Sky Carp to watch his average fall to .182 on the campaign.
