Dairon Blanco put on a show on the base paths in Omaha’s 5-3 victory over the Gwinnett Stripers (AAA). The speedy outfielder not only banged out two hits in four at-bats and scored a run, but he also stole three bases. Blanco and his 11 stolen bases put him in a tie for the league lead in that category. The Cuban also sports a sterling .358 OBP.
In AA Diosbel Arias went yard for the third straight day and knocked two runs via his homerun in a four run third inning of Frisco’s 6-3 win versus Arkansas. In 11 games with the Roughriders this season the first baseman has hit four homers, driven 11 runs and is slugging .581.
In A ball Narbe Cruz continues to impress with the lumber. The first baseman connected on a key RBI base hit in the Top of the fifth to tie a close game at two, a game that Fayetteville eventually won 3-2. Cruz is hitting a robust .308 on the young season. The Havana native also raised his number of runs batted in on the season to 11.
