Lázaro Hernández knocks in a run in Quintana Roo’s victory. ( +Mexican League Report)

Lázaro Hernández has started very fast in the early going in México. The infielder from Artemisa, Cuba had two hits, an RBI and a run scored in the Tigres de Quintana Roo 17-5 drubbing of the Pericos de Puebla. Hernández saw his average rise to .333. Last year between the Mexican League and the League of North México the slugger hit 27 longballs.

Yadir Drake continues to show us why he’s a big part of Yucatán’s offense. In last night’s ball game the outfielder stroked a double, single and scored two runs in his four bats. The Leones beat Oaxaca 8-6. Drake is now hitting a solid .301.

Félix Pérez knocked in a run and scored a run in his four trips to the plate in Tijuana’s 10-3 loss to Union Laguna. Although the reigning Mexican League MVP is only hitting .200 he has driven in fours runs on the young season.
