Roberto Roilan Portuondo debuts in Japan. (+Asian League Report)

Roberto Roilan Portuondo made his debut in the Baseball Challenge League with the Shinano Grandserows in their 6-5 win against the Saitama Mushashi HeatBears. The righty from Guantánamo, Cuba tossed six innings where he allowed four runs via six hits and fanned four. Portuondo’s fastball topped out at 96 Mph on the day.

Livan Moinelo gave up a run in an inning in the 3-3 between SoftBank and Orix Buffaloes. Moinelo who ERA jumped to 1.64 has also struck out nine in 11 innings of work this season.

In the KBO Guillermo Heredia hit his four homerun in the bottom of the 12th inning of a 3-3 tie between SSG and Hanwha. The outfielder from Matanzas, Cuba collected three hits on the day and scored twice to watch his average jump to .381 on the season.
