Johan Oviedo wins third of the year. (+Cuban MLB Report)

Johan Oviedo tossed six innings where he surrendered six and two earned runs, all while striking out seven in Pittsburgh’s 13-3 victory over Arizona. For Oviedo it was his fourth quality start of the season and he now has 43 strikeouts in 48 innings pitched on the season.

Adolis García went yard for the 14th time on the season, knocked in two runs and also scored twice to do his part in Texas’ 7-2 win over Colorado. The outfielder from Ciego de Avila, Cuba now leads MLB with 48 runs batted in and third in the league in longballs with 14.

Raisel Iglesias pitched his second scorless outing in a row in Atlanta’s 6-2 win over Seattle. The distinguished closer is starting to find his way after a rough start on the season. Iglesias has 159 saves in his career.
