Lourdes Gurriel Jr went yard for the eighth time on the year and knocked in two runs to aid Arizona in their 6-3 win over defending NL Champion Philadelphia. The outfielder from Sancti Spíritus, Cuba was perfect in four at-bats and also scored once on the evening. Gurriel is now hitting .404 over his 15 game hitting streak.
Randy Arozarena collected two hits, slugged his 11th homerun of the season, drove in a run and scored twice to due his part in Tampa Bay’s 6-4 victory over Toronto. The diminutive but powerful outfielder raised his average to .308 and is seventh in MLB with 37 RBIs on the campaign. Yandy Díaz also aided the cause by drawing a walk and scoring a run in four trips to the plate.

J.D. Martínez hit two homeruns and drove in two runs to lead the Dodgers over the Braves 8-6. The Cuban-American slugger who swatted four hits on the evening in five at-bats saw his average jump to .264 on the campaign.
Yordan Álvarez deposited two balls in the stands and was responsible for driving in five runs to be the catalyst in Houston’s 12-2 thrashing of Milwaukee. The “Cuban Giant” now has 12 homers on the campaign and is second in MLB with 46 RBIs.
