Yordan Álvarez swatted two roundtrippers in four at-bats drove in two runs, while José Abreu also went downtown for the first time on the season in Houston’s 10-1 thrashing of the Astros. Álvarez is now second in MLB with 48 runs batted in, while Abreu with his longball broke a slump that saw him hitting .192 in his last seven games.

Nick Fortes went yard for the third on the season, knocked in a run and scored on another occasion to be the catalyst in Miami’s 2-0 shutout of the Angels. The Cuban-American catcher who drove in his ninth run of the season is also hitting .346 in his last seven games.
