Yordan Álvarez went yard for the 15th time on the campaign, a two-run blast to open up the scoring in Houston’s 6-2 win against the Angels. The power- hitting Cuban with his two RBIs took over the MLB lead in that category from his countrymen Adolis García.
Nick Castellanos collected four hits, two of them being longballs, knocked in five runs and scored to times, but Philly still fell to Washington 8-7. The Cuban -American in his last seven games has driven in eight runs and is hitting a robust .429 over that stretch.

Jorge Soler stroked a run scoring double in the bottom of the fifth, his only hit in four trips to and also scored on one occasion to help the cause in Miami’s 4-0 whitewashing of the Athletics. The outfielder has driven in 12 runs in his last 15 games and sports a solid .877 OPS on the season.
Lourdes Gurriel Jr connected on a key double to open up the game in the first inning to drive two runs and open up the scoring for Arizona in their 3-2 triumph in a battle of division leaders. The Sancti Spíritus, Cuba native has now driven in 35 runs on the year.
