Jorge Soler connected on two longballs, one in the fifth and one in a five-run eighth inning to key a Marlins comeback that saw them edge Chicago 6-5. Soler with his 19 dingers on the campaign is now tied with Aaron Judge for the league lead. In his last 15 games Soler is hitting a robust .333.
For Chicago and in a loss, Luis Robert homered for the 15th time on the season and drove in two runs. The outfielder from Ciego de Ávila, Cuba has also knocked in 32 runs on the season.
Zach Neto deposited two balls in the stands, his fourth and fifth roundtrippers of the season. The Cuban-American shortstop also drove in two runs and scored on three occasions to lead the Angels to a 9-4 win versus Seattle. The infielder watched his average ascend to .253 on the campaign.
