Chapman fans three, but Kansas City falls to Cincinnati. (+Cuban MLB Report)

Aroldis Chapman retired all three batters he faced via the strikeout in an inning of work. The supersonic left-hander did not allow a hit or a run to see his ERA fall to 2.70 on the campaign. The Royals fell to Cincinnati 5-4. In 23 ⅓ innings pitched this season the flamethrower has struck out 41 batters.

Nick Fortes went yard for fourth time on the campaign, knocked in a run and scored on another occasion, but his best efforts could not prevent Miami from dropping the game to Seattle 8-1. The Cuban-American catcher is hitting a solid .271 in his last 15 games.

Zach Neto swatted two doubles in five trips to the plate and scored a run to aid the Angels in their 9-6 win over the Rangers. The infielder is hitting .400 in his last seven games and his hit two longballs over that span.
