Odrisamer Despaigne is now rolling in the Liga Mexicana de Béisbol, for the second time in three outings the right-hander from Havana posted a quality outing. The crafty right went seven strong innings against a potent Yucatán lineup and only surrendered a run via two hits and retired nine via the strikeout.
The Mariachis down the Leones 7-2 and Despaigne now sports a 5-4 record in the Aztec circuit. The hurler also saw his ERA fall to 4.53 on the campaign and is trending upward at the most opportune time.
Despaigne could be a key figure for Guadalajara in the quest for a postseason birth. As of right now the team stands two games back of Saltillo for the last playoff birth in the Zona Norte.
