José Abreu knocks in his 900th career run in Houston’s win. (+Cuban MLB Report)

José Abreu eclipsed another milestone his career last night. Earlier this season the Cuban slugger reached 1,500 career hits, in yesterday’s contest the man from Mal Tiempo, Cuba knocked in his 900th career run via a sac fly in the third inning of Houston’s 10-7 win over the Cardinals.

Abreu also homered for the sixth time on the campaign and drove in three runs for the Texans. Nolan Arenado for his part also went yard and drove in three runs for the redbirds in a loss.

Adolis García stroked his 20th longball of the season and drove in three runs in Texas’ 10-2 drubbing of Detroit. The outfielder from Ciego de Ávila, Cuba now leads the majors with 66 RBIs and has 36 XBH’s on the season.

Luis Robert has now homered four times in his last five games, yesterday the “Black Panther ” as he is known by the Cuban faithful deposited his 23 ball in the seats on the season and knocked in two runs and also scored on two other occasions to do his part in Chicago’s 11-5 thrashing of the Angels. The outfielder is hitting a robust .345 in his last seven games.
