JC Escarra goes yard again in Tijuana’s win. (+Mexican League Report)

The Toros de Tijuana are the team to beat in the Liga Mexicana de Béisbol and JC Escarra is a big reason why. The recently acquired Cuban- American slugger has been swinging a hit bat since joining the team. In last night’s contest Escarra went yard and drove in three runs in four trips to the plate.

Tijuana who lead the Zona Norte with a 39-25 record pounded the Acereros del Norte 12-3. Escarra who homered for the fourth time on the campaign has left the yard in three of his last four games. The Miamian is hitting .317 and has now driven in eight runs in his brief time with Tijuana.

The 2021 LMB Champs look poised to make another run at a league title and they could be powered by two Cuban bats. Félix Pérez the reigning league MVP and Ecarra, the rookie sensation could be determining factors for the Toros this season in their quest for a title.
