Soler homers in Miami’s extra-inning win. (+Cuban MLB Report)

Jorge Soler hit a key ninth inning blast, his only hit in six at-bats to tie the game at five in a game that Miami eventually won 9-8 over Philadelphia in 12 innings. The slugger went downtown for the 25th time and has now driven in 57 runs on the campaign.

Nick Martinez pitched three scoreless innings in what was a bullpen game for San Diego in their 11-1 win over the Rockies. The right-hander from Miami also fanned three and saw his ERA fall to 3.78 on the season.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr collected a hit and for the fourth straight game and scores a run, but Arizona dropped the game 4-2 to San Francisco. The outfielder is now hitting .252 on the campaign.
