Dairon Blanco collected three runs batted in and stole three bases in three at-bats in Kansas City’s 7-5 win over Philly. The speedy outfielder becomes the first to accomplish the feat in 10 years and only the second Cuban in MLB history, the last player to actually reach this milestone was José Altuve in September of 2013. Blanco also becomes the first player to steal three bases in a game against J.T. Realmuto.
Adolis García went yard twice, drove in two runs and scored twice to lead the Rangers to a 6-2 victory over the Marlins. The native of Ciego de Ávila, Cuba is fifth in MLB in homeruns (28) and second in RBIs (88). His .871 OPS leads all Texas hitters.
Yordan Álvarez continues to torture major league pitching since returning from the IL. The Cuban slugger swatted his 20th roundtripper of the season to do his part in Houston’s 7-3 win over the Yankees. Álvarez is now hitting a robust .385 in his last seven games.
