“Soler Power” snaps Miami’s losing streak. (+Cuban MLB Report)

Jorge Soler blasted a key seventh inning two-run blast to help Miami snap a five game losing skid with a 3-2 win over the Cincinnati Reds. The Cuban slugger homered for the second straight evening and swatted his 27th roundtripper on the campaign.

Yandy Díaz had a perfect evening at the plate collecting four hits in as many trips to the plate, while knocking in a run and scoring on an occasion to do his part in Tampa Bay’s 4-2 victory over St. Louis. The native of Villa Clara, Cuba now leads the American League with a .322 batting average.

Raisel Iglesias tossed a scoreless ninth inning, where he gave up a hit, walked a batter and retired one via the strikeout to notch his 21st save of the season in Atlanta’s 8-6 triumph versus the Pirates. The hurler from the Isle of Youth saw his ERA descend to 3.38 on the season.
