Cionel Pérez and Yennier Cano combined to hurl a scoreless inning where they fanned two of the batters they faced to set up Félix Bautista in Baltimore’s 5-4 win. Cano saw his ERA fall to 1.81 on the season and Pérez has now tossed five straight scoreless innings.
With the back end of their bullpen in sync and looking very dominant Baltimore might be a nightmare for their opponents this coming postseason.
Nick Castellanos homered for the second straight day and drove in two runs to do his part in Philly’s 6-2 win over Washington. The Cuban -American has now gone yard 20 times and has also knocked in 72 on the campaign.
