Yordan Álvarez knocked in two runs via a sacrifice fly in the first inning and a single in the second stanza to do his part in Houston’s 9-4 victory over Boston. The Cuban slugger drove in two runs for the second straight evening and now has 68 runs batted in on the campaign.

Álvarez is also hitting .320 over his last seven games and is slashing .419/.440/.859 over that same time span. The native of Las Tunas, Cuba has also gone yard four times post All-Star break.

Although Alex Faedo notched a quality start after tossing six innings where he gave up two earned runs via three hits and fanned four, but his best efforts could not prevent from falling 7-6 to the Cubs. The Cuban-American hurler has struck out 45 hitters in 51 ⅓ innings this season and also sports a 0.97 WHIP.
