Luis Robert drives in two, but Chicago falls to Oakland. (+Cuban MLB Report)

Luis Robert went yard for the 34th time on the campaign and knocked in two runs, but his best efforts couldn’t save Chicago in their 8-5 loss to Oakland. The outfielder broke a slump that him hitting .143 over his last seven games.

Robert who is hitting .265 on the season has not only set a career high in homeruns, but has also reached a career mark in RBIs with 69. The one-time Serie Nacional MVP is one the most complete players in the game.

With four more stolen bases Robert could secure the first 20-20 season of his career. The slugger from Ciego de Ávila, Cuba is slugging a robust .554 on the season. After being injury plagued in his first three campaigns the Cuban is finally living up to his promise.
