Yennier Cano notches his fifth save in Baltimore’s win. (+Cuban MLB Report)

Yennier Cano tossed a scoreless ninth to notch his fifth save of the campaign in Baltimore’s 5-4 victory over Colorado. The right-hander from Ciego de Ávila, Cuba has sports a miniscule 1.80 ERA and has set a record for Cubans in a season with 28 holds, the hurler is also the league leader in MLB in that statistical category.

Yordan Álvarez swatted two hits in five at-bats and knocked in a run in to do his part in Houston’s win over Detroit 9-2. The “Cuban Giant” has driven in five runs in his last seven games.

Jorge Soler went yard for the 34th time on the campaign, drove in a run and scored on another occasion, but his best efforts were not enough to save the Marlins from falling to the lowly Nationals 3-2. The slugger has hit eight homers in his last 15 games.

Adolis García connected on his 32 longball of the season and also scored two times in Texas’ 6-2 triumph versus Minnesota. The outfielder also drove in a run and is second amongst Cubans with 32 roundtrippers.
