José Abreu reaches 1,400 games in the majors. (+Cuban MLB Report)

José Abreu collected two hits in four trips to the plate, drove in a run and scored a run, but the Astros fell to Baltimore 8-7. With his inclusion in the lineup the native of Mal Tiempo, Cuba reached 1,400 games on the grand stage. Abreu has now driven in six runs in his last seven games.

Yennier Cano notched his seventh save of the year with the Orioles after striking out the last of the game to end the Astros hopes. J.D. Martínez went yard twice in his four trips to the plate and knocked in five runs to lead the Dodgers to an 8-3 win over the Tigers. Martínez has now driven in 90 runs on the season to go along with 28 roundtrippers. The Cuban-American slugger is now also hitting a solid .321 in his last seven games.
