Johan Oviedo tossed six innings where he only surrendered four without any runs and fanned five to notch his ninth victory of the year. The right-hander from Havana now has three wins and a 2.97 earned run average in his last seven outings. On the evening Pittsburgh outlasted the Cubs 8-6.

Nick Castellanos went yard for the 28th time on the season and drove in four runs to pace Philly in their 5-4 win over Atlanta. The Cuban- American slugger who has now driven in 103 runs on the season went over the century for the third time in his career.

Andy Ibáñez collected two hits and drove in two runs, one via a first inning triple and the other on an eighth inning single to be the catalyst in Detroit’s 7-3 victory over Oakland. The utilityman who has knocked in a career high 35 runs is also hitting .311 over his past 15 games.
