José Abreu reaches 600 extra base hits in his career. (+Cuban MLB Report)

José Abreu swatted an RBI first inning double to reach 600 extra-base hits in his career and also reached at least 80 rubs batted in during eight of his 10 big league seasons, but Kansas City still knocked off Houston 6-5. Yordan Álvarez also went yard for the 29th time on the campaign and drove in a run for the team from the Space City.

Nick Castellanos also hit his 29th longball of the year and drove in two runs in Philly’s 5-2 win over the Mets. The Cuban-American slugger has now connected on 68 extra base hits on the season to go along with 106 RBIs. The outfielder is hitting a robust .375 and his last seven games.

Adolis García left the yard for the 36th time on the year, one of six homeruns that the Rangers hit on the day in their 9-8 victory over Seattle. The native of Ciego de Ávila, Cuba has knocked in 106 runs on the season to go along with a solid .500 slugging percentage. García has also swatted at least 25 homeruns in each of his last three campaigns.
