Adolis García went yard for the 37th time on the campaign, drove in a run and scored a run to do his part in the Rangers’ 5-1 win over the Angels. The outfielder from Ciego de Ávila, Cuba has now gone yard for the second day in line and is hitting a solid .261 in his last seven games.

“El Bombi” as he is known by the Cuban faithful is a main part of the reason why the Rangers lead the American League as a team collectively in batting average (.266), OPS (.796), runs (860) and slugging (.457). The team is also second in the circuit in homeruns with 223.

Yordan Álvarez hit his 30th roundtripper of the campaign and knocked in a run to do his part in Houston’s 5-1 victory over Seattle. The Cuban giant has now hit 30 longballs for the third straight and is four RBIs away from reaching the century mark.

José Abreu joined in on the act by stroking a triple and scoring a run to watch his average rise to .235 on the season. The first baseman has a 36 extra-base hits to go along with 84 runs batted in on the campaign. He has also hit a solid .269 over his last seven games.
