Adolis García is MVP of ALCS and Texas is in the World Series. (+Cuban MLB Report)

Adolis García punished the Astros pitching for the second straight night and to be frank, he did it for the whole series. “El Bombi” as he is known by the Cuban faithful went yard twice and drove in five runs to insure that the Rangers steamrolled the Houston 11-4 in the series 7th game of the ALCS in route to their third World Series appearance.

García who was named series MVP knocked in a eye-popping 15 runs during the seven games, a new Championship Series record and also deposited five balls in the seats. The slugger in total has launched seven balls into the stands to arguably become the most impactful offensive player of the MLB’s postseason.

The outfielder who has been the leader for Texas this postseason also set the team’s playoff record for RBI’s with 20, snapping Nelson Cruz’s old mark set in 2011. Cruz was also ALCS MVP that season. During the series the native of Ciego de Ávila, Cuba also slashed a robust .400/.893./1.293.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr swatted a homerun in four trips to the plate, drove in a run and scored a run to force a decisive 7th game by doing his part in Arizona’s 5-1 win over the Phillies. The native of Sancti Spíritus, Cuba is now hitting .227 during the World Series.

The DBacks and Philadelphia will face off tonight in a decisive Game 7 at Citizens Bank Park at 8:07 PM with Brandon Pfaadt taking the hill for Arizona and Ranger Suárez will toe the rubber for the Phillies. The winner will face the Rangers Friday night in Arlington to open the World Series.
