JC Escarra goes yard, but Guasave falls to Culiacán. (+Winter League Report)

JC Escarra ‘s bat is starting to heat up after a slow start. The Cuban- American slugger went yard for the first time on the season, knocked in a run and scored on an occasion in Guasave’s 4-2 loss to Culiacán. Yadir Drake also added two hits to the cause to watch his average ascend to .375 on the season.

Yasmany Tomás hit his first longball of the season and drove in two runs to lead Los Mochis to a 4-1 win over Navojoa. “El Tanque” as he is known by the Cuban faithful is now hitting a solid a .286 after a slow start on the year.

In the LIDOM César Prieto collected three hits, drove in a run and scored a run in the Águilas 14-8 thrashing of Escogido. In total the infielder reached base six times on the evening via three additional walks, his average jumped to a solid .310 on the campaign.
