Félix Pérez goes downtown in Jalisco’s loss. (+Winter League Report)

Félix Pérez went downtown for his league leading 10th time on the campaign and knocked in two runs, but his best efforts could not save Jalisco from an 11-5 thrashing at the hands of Mazatlán in the Liga ARCO. The slugger from the Isle of Youth is also fourth in the circuit with 24 RBIs.

Also in México Maikel Serrano collected two hits in four trips to the plate and drove in two runs, but Ciudad Obregón fell to Culiacán 7-3. The outfielder saw his average jump to a solid .279 and upped his season total of RBIs to eight with the Yaquis.

In the LIDOM Cuban-American Nelson Álvarez made his debut in the league tossing 1⅔ scoreless innings in the Gigantes 4-2 loss at the hands of Licey. The hurler also retired a hitter via the strikeout for the top ballclub in the circuit.
