Odrisamer Despaigne tossed seven innings of four-hit ball in which he didn’t allow an earned run and fanned four en route to a Mazatlán 3-0 shutout of Culiacán. The Cuban righty notched his first win of the postseason and the Venados took game 1 of their semifinal playoff series. Despaigne’s ERA dropped to 3.27 in the second phase of the Mexican tournament.
