Raisel Iglesias tossed a scoreless inning in Atlanta’s 3-0 blanking of the Twins. The right-hander from the Isle of Youth also fanned to batters to watch his ERA descend to 6.00 on the preseason. The 34-year-old hurler is looking to notch the fifth 30 save of his career and is 10 rescues short of 200 in the majors.

Nolan Arenado collected a hit in three trips to the plate and drove in a run, but St. Louis was routed by Washington 11-4. The star third baseman who had a sub-par season by his standards in 2023 is looking to rebound and regain his old form.

Narbe Cruz made his spring training debut with a pinch-hit single in the eighth inning, but his efforts could not prevent the Astros’ from dropping a 5-3 decision to the Tigers. This season could be key in the infielder’s development.

Cuban-American David Villar went yard for the first time on the spring to do his part the Giants’ 12-9 win over the Kansas City Royals. The infielder also knocked in a run and scored on two occasions, Villar also watched his average rise to a solid .292 on the spring.
