Aroldis Chapman notches his second hold in Pittsburgh’s win. (+MLB Report)

Aroldis Chapman notched his second hold of the season after striking out the only batter he faced in Pittsburgh’s 7-4 victory over Washington. The flamethrowing left from Holguín, Cuba has yet to give up a run on the season and has fanned four in 2 ⅔ innings of work in relief.

Nolan Arenado collected three hits, knocked in a run and scored a run in five trips to the plate to pace a St. Louis Cardinals’ 8-5 win over the Marlins. After a slow start to the season at the plate the Cuban- American third baseman is hitting .307 over his last three games.

Although Andy Ibáñez went hitless in a doubleheader, the utilityman still managed to drive in a run and the Detroit Tigers split a pair of games with the Mets 6-3,1-2. Ibáñez saw his average fall to .300 on the young campaign. The native of the Isle of Youth figures to play a major role for the felines this season.
