Néstor Cortés tossed seven innings of five-hit, three-run ball in the Yankees 3-1 loss to the Athletics. The left-hander also fanned four and saw his ERA descend to 3.60, Cortés now sports a 1-2 record on the campaign.

Although Yordan Álvarez did not get hit on the night the Cuban slugger was responsible for the Astros’ only run in their 3-1 loss to the Cubs. The outfielder who is in the of a 7-for-30 slump now has 14 runs batted in on the season.

Aroldis Chapman has had a terrible start to the season. The left-hander from Holguín, Cuba gave up an eighth inning two-run blast to Gary Sánchez in Pittsburgh’s 7-5 loss to Milwaukee. Although Chapman has struck out 16 in eight innings this season he sports a 6.75 ERA on the season.
