Right-hander Lázaro Blanco tossed five innings of four-hit, one-run ball to lead the Bravos de León to a 7-3 win over the Piratas de Campeche. The hurler secured his third victory of the season and now sports a 2.70 earned run average.
Henry Urrutia collected two hits in four trips to the plate, while also knocking in two runs. The Cuban slugger watched his average rise to .320 and has now driving in nine runs on the campaign, to also go along with an .820 OPS.
Jimmy Yacabonis continues to be a key cog in México City’s bullpen. In last night’s action the Cuban- American righty fanned four of the six batters he faced to notch his third hold of the season in the Diablo Rojos’ 7-4 win over Veracruz. The reliever saw his ERA fall to 1.69 on the season.
