Raisel Iglesias saves his 200th career game in a Braves win. (+Cuban MLB Report)

Although he gave a hit and a run, Raisel Iglesias was able to secure his 200th career save and a Braves’ triumph over the Mets by the count of 4-2. The hurler becomes only the second Cuban in MLB history to reach this plateau.

Yordan Álvarez swatted two hits in four trips to the plate, drove in a run and scored on an occasion to do his part in Houston’s 5-2 win over Detroit. The slugger from Las Tunas, Cuba broke a skid that has seen him hit .192 over his last seven games and has now driven in 20 runs on the season.

Yennier Cano tossed a scoreless inning in relief and fanned a batter in Baltimore’s 4-2 victory over Arizona. The right-hander notched second save of the season and now sports a miniscule 1.89 ERA on the campaign.
