Carlos Rodón tossed six innings of six-hit, one-run ball to lead the Yankees to a 5-1 win over the Twins. The Cuban-American left-hander also fanned six to notch his fourth victory of the campaign and watch his ERA descend to 3.31.
Randy Arozarena went yard for the eighth time on the campaign, drove in a run and scored twice, but his efforts couldn’t prevent a Tampa Bay 5-4 loss at the hands of the Red Sox. The outfielder has slugged three homers in his last seven games.
Adolis García launched his ninth longball of the season and knocked in a run in Texas’ 7-4 loss to Cleveland. The native of Ciego de Ávila, Cuba leads all Cubans with 32 runs batted in on the season.
