Guillermo García collected three hits in four trips to the plate, drove in two runs and scored a run during Québec’s 12-4 thrashing of New England. The Cuban slugger is now hitting a robust .462 in his brief time with the Canadian squad.

García spent last season in the minors with the Chunichi Dragons of the NPB and could be an addition to the Cuban Premier 12 team in November. The Cuban could be in the cross-hairs of a Mexican League team in the near future. Over his last two games García has eight hits and nine RBIs.

In the Pioneer League Rafi Vazquez tossed five innings giving up eight hits, five earned runs, while also striking out two in Ogden’s 20-5 loss to Billings. The Cuban-American righty saw his ERA ascend to 6.55 on the season. In 23 innings pitched the hurler has fanned 20 batters for the Raptors.
