Guillermo Heredia has been selected to the KBO Dream All-Star Team, his second selection in as many years. He currently leads the KBO with a .363 AVG .Heredia received 954,121 fan votes and 183 player votes, totaling 37.74 score the highest among Dream outfielders.
The multi-talented Heredia has also hit nine homers on the season , is slashing a gaudy .404/.516/.919 and has driven in 58 runs on the season. SSG Landers Field in Incheon, just west of Seoul, will host the All-Star weekend. It will start with the home run derby on July 5, followed by the All-Star Game, along with other festivities, on July 6.
In 122 games with SSG last season the outfielder slashed .324/.385/.461/.846 with 12 longballs and 76 RBIs. These numbers garnered him an All-Star selection last season and took the Korean squad to a playoff birth.
The Cuban won a world title with the Braves in 2021 and in seven MLB seasons with Atlanta, Tampa,Seattle, the Mets and Pittsburgh he hit .231 primarily as a fourth outfielder and defensive specialist. Heredia has international experience with Cuba hitting .167 as the team’s starting centerfielder in the 2013 WBC.
