Luis Robert accounted for the only run by Chicago via an eighth inning solo-shot off Chris Sale to ruin an 11 strikeout performance in the White Sox’s 1-0 win over Atlanta. For the outfielder it was his eighth longball of the season.

Daysbel Hernández extended his scoreless innings streak to 8⅔ on the season after tossing a scoreless ninth inning in which he struck out a batter for Atlanta. The right-hander from Pinar del Río, Cuba has struck out 11 batters and sports a 1.04 WHIP on the campaign.

Jorge Soler smacked a double and knocked in a run in four trips to the plate, all while also scoring a run in San Francisco’s 5-3 loss to the Cubs. The slugger has now driven in 29 runs on the campaign and broke a 5-for-25 skid over his last seven games.

Adolis García went yard for the 15th time on the season, while also scoring a run in Texas’ 11-2 loss to Baltimore. “El Bombi ” as he is known by the Cuban faithful leads all his countrymen with 43 runs batted in on the year.
