Yennier Cano and Cionel Pérez combined of 2⅓ innings of one-hit, scoreless ball to help secure the Orioles’ 6-5 win over their arch-rival Yankees. Pérez notched his 13th hold of the season and saw his ERA descend to 3.49, while Cano is now second in the AL with 24 holds and sports a 2.79 earned run average.
Alex Faedo won his fourth game on the season after tossing ⅓ of an inning in relief during Detroit’s 4-3 victory over the Dodgers. The Cuban-American righty has been a key piece of the Tigers’ bullpen this year and has a 3.50 earned run average on the campaign.
For Los Angeles and in a loss Andy Pagés collected a hit in four trips to the plate and drove in a run. Though his average fell to .257 on the season he augmented his RBI total to 26 on the season. The rookie outfielder is also hitting a solid .281 over his last 15 games.
