Aroldis Chapman notched his second win on the campaign after tossing a scoreless inning and struck out a batter to secure a Pittsburgh 2-1 victory over St. Louis. The flamethrowing left-hander struck out a batter and saw his ERA descend to 3.93 on the season. The Cuban hurler has now fanned 62 in 36 ⅔ innings pitched this season.

José Iglesias swatted a triple and drove in a run after a being hit by a pitch in the fourth inning and also scored on an occasion to do his part in the Mets’ 6-4 win over the Marlins. The infielder is now hitting .387 in limited at-bats with the team from Gotham.

Carlos Rodón fanned 10 and allowed an earned run via two hits during the Tankees’ 9-1 thrashing of the Rays. The Cuban-American pitch also won his tenth game of the season and saw his earned run average fall to 4.42 on the year.
