Félix Pérez drives in three, but Tabasco falls to Veracruz. (+Mexican League Report)

Félix Pérez homered for the fifth time on the season in the second game of a doubleheader and knocked in three runs, but Tabasco still fell to Veracruz 6-4. The slugger from the Isle of Youth is hitting a robust .391 in a limited amount of at-bats with the club.

In the first game, also a 4-1 loss by the Olmecas, Adeiny Hechavarria also want yard. The Cuban infielder homered for the eighth time on the campaign and saw his average rise to .243. Hechavarría started the season off hot but has cooled as of late.

Luis Avilés Jr swatted two hits in five trips to the plate and drove in three runs, but Jalisco still downed Durango 8-5. The infielder who has now knocked in 52 runs on the season also saw his average rise to a solid .272. Avilés has been a key pickup for the Caliente’s offense.
