Raisel Iglesias shuts the door on the Marlins in a Braves’ win. (+Cuban MLB Report)

Raisel Iglesias tossed a scoreless ninth inning in relief to notch his 23rd save of the season in Atlanta’s 4-2 win over Miami. The right-hander from the Isle of Youth fanned a batter and saw his ERA descend to 1.73 on the campaign.

The hurler has been the most consistent Cuban closer over the last 10 years, by saving 30 games in a season five times over that span.

Nolan Arenado collected two hits in four trips to the plate and knocked in a run, but the Cardinals still fell to their arch-rival Cubs 5-4. The Cuban-American slugger has now driven in 46 runs on the season.
