Aroldis Chapman notches his sixth save in a Pittsburgh win. (+Cuban MLB Report)

Aroldis Chapman notched his sixth save of the season and the 327th of his career after tossing ⅔ of a scoreless in Pittsburgh’s 9-4 win over the Nationals. The flamethrowing left-hander also struck out a batter and saw his ERA descend to 3.38 on the season.

Yandy Díaz collected two hits in three trips to the plate and knocked in a run, but Tampa still fell to Minnesota 4-3. The defending AL batting champion saw his average rise to .278 on the season and has now driven in 62 runs on the season.

Adolis García swatted a three-run first inning homer to account for all three of Texas’ runs in the 3-1 victory over the Los Angeles Angels. For the outfielder it was his 22nd longball of the campaign to go along with 72 RBIs. In what has been a subpar season for García he has picked it up a little in the last month hitting a solid .263.
