Randy Arozarena swatted a ninth inning single to centerfield, his only hit on the night to leave Texas on the field and secure a 5-4 Seattle Mariners victory. The speedster from Pinar del Río, Cuba has now driven in 56 runs on the campaign and is only a homerun away from his fourth straight 20-20 season.

Yordan Álvarez went yard for the 34th time on the campaign, a two-run shot in the fifth inning of Houston’s 5-3 win over the Angels. The slugger has also knocked in 84 runs and is hitting a robust .310 on the season. Álvarez is also hitting. 300 over his last 15 games.

Nick Martínez tossed six innings of three-hit, one-run ball in Cincinnati’s 11-1 drubbing of Minnesota. The Cuban- American righty also fanned six hitters and saw his ERA descended 3.37 on the season. Over his last seven starts the hurler has a 3-1 record and 3.86 earned run average.
