Nick Castellanos swatted a solo-shot and smashed a ninth inning single to left to secure a Phillies come-from-behind 6-2 walk-off win over the Mets and tie the ALDS playoff series at one. The Cuban-American outfielder knocked in two runs in total and is now hitting a robust .444 after two games in the best-of-five AL divisional series.
Castellanos has been big in the postseason since he joined the ballclub from the city of brotherly love. In total the native of Hialeah, FL has homered six times over the last two seasons in the playoffs and has also driven in nine runs over that span making him a key figure in the team’s offensive attack.
Philadelphia now heads to New York with their work cut out for them and the series’ homefield advantage favoring the Mets. Wednesday night in Gotham in the third showdown between the two squads. Philly will send Aaron Nola two the hill and New York will counter with Sean Manea, whoever takes the game will be a win from the NLCS.
