This Tuesday at the Press Conference that took place in the Adolfo Luque Hall of the Latin American stadium, the Cuban Baseball Federation announced the roster that will participate in an exhibition game in Mexico against the national team of that country that will attend the Premier 12 tournament.

The most striking thing is the return of Frederich Cepeda to a Cuban team. The team will be made up of 18 players with a combination of veterans and some young players of the Cuban National Series. It will be made up of two catchers, six infielders, five outfielders and the same number of pitchers.

Ángel Ortega, manager of Granma in the last Serie Nacional, will lead this team with the aid of the managers of Industriales (Guillermo Carmona) and Las Tunas (Abeicy Pantoja). The coaching staff also includes Jorge Hierrezuelo (coach), Jesús Bosmenier (Pitching) and Carlos Martín (bench coach).

There they will have the honor of inaugurating the Tepic stadium, better known as ‘The Colossus of the Pacific’, with this exhibition match up, which in turn will be one of the venues for Group A in the Premier 12.

Catchers, Yosvani Alarcón from Las Tunas and Lázaro Ponce, from the capital who played in the last National Series with Mayabeque will be on the roster. The infield will include Yunier Mendoza (SSP), Alexis Varona (SSP), Osvaldo Abreu (GRM), Yudier Rondón (LTU) and Jeison Martínez (MYB).

Over Luis Cremet, Dennis Laza, Yaser Julio González, Ariel Hechavarría and, as we mentioned before, Frederich Cepeda were called to cover the outfield. The five pitchers for this clash will be Dany Betancourt, Randy Cueto, Armando Dueñas, Branlis Rodríguez and Alberto Pablo Civil.
