José Ramón Rodríguez is masterful in a Caribes’ win. (+Cuban Winter League Report)

José Ramón Rodríguez notched his second victory after a quality start against the Águilas del Zulia in the LVBP. The right-hander from Camagüey, Cuba tossed 6⅔ innings in which he gave up three runs via three hits and fanned all while issuing three walks to preserve the Caribes’ 11-3 win and watching his ERA descend to 4.20 on the season.

Although it was in defeat Rangel Ravelo went yard for the third time on the season during the eighth inning of Lara’s 9-4 loss at the hands of La Guaira. The slugger from Havana watched his average ascend to .263 and upped his RBI total to 18 on the campaign.

In the LIDOM José Barrero continues to swing a hot bat. Barrero has now driven in eight runs on the season and has really woken up at the plate since the Choque de Gigantes in Miami.
