Odrisamer Despaigne tossed six scoreless innings where he only yielded six hits and fanned three in Ciudad Obregón’s 10-1 thrashing of Los Mochis. For the right-hander from Havana it was his second win on the campaign and his ERA also fell to 3.65 in the Liga ARCO.

José Barrero saw the awakening of his bat during the Choque de Gigantes in Miami and it has carried over into the LIDOM season. During tonight’s Estrellas Orientales 10-9 win the infielder drove in three runs via a double in the seventh inning and a walk-off single in the ninth. Barrero saw his average rise to .250 and his number of runs batted in to 13 on the campaign.
