Rangel Ravelo knocks in three, but Lara falls to Magallanes. (+Cuban Winter League Report)

Rangel Ravelo collected two hits in five trips to the plate and knocked in three runs, but Lara fell to Magallanes by an 11-7 count. The Cuban slugger is now hitting .344 and has driven in 12 in the Venezuelan postseason. Ravelo leads all foreigners with 63 RBIs in the LVBP playoffs.

In the LBPRC Orlando Martínez scored a run and swatted a hit in three at-bats to do his part in Caguas’ 10-1 thrashing of Mayagüez in the first round of the Puerto Rican circuit’s playoffs. The outfielder opened the series with a .333 average and the Criollos lead the 1-0.

José Barrero went yard for the second time in the Round Robin, drove in a run and also scored on an occasion to command a 6-0 shutout of the Águilas by the Estrellas Orientales. The team from San Pedro is now tied for first place in the Dominican postseason with a 4-2 record.
